Extracurricular Instructional Classes
3 weeks – 18 years
SKIES Unlimited stands for “School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills” with the
word “Unlimited” for the unlimited possibilities that this program provides children and youth:
- All participants must be registered with CYS Services @ Building 650
- On-going enrollment for most classes (New students may need to wait for open enrollment)
- Currently enrolled SKIES students will be automatically re-enrolled into the next session for most classes to retain their space.
- Payment for the session must be made the first week after class has begun.
- Classes will be filled on a first paid basis and first come first served basis.
Children and Youth that are currently registered in CYS Services may be able to enroll for some of the SKIES classes directly with SKIES Director.
Parent Orientation Required
Parents of new students are required to attend an initial Parent Orientation, held at the Youth Center on the 2nd Tuesday or 4th Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. This is a one-time requirement.

SKIES Unlimited is looking to enhance our life skills program by adding instructional classes in sewing, quilting, cross stitch, embroidery, or any other kind of needlework. If you or anyone that you know are interested in broadening the skills of our military youth, please contact us, so that we can discuss the possibilities further.
We are also currently looking for interested contractors to teach youth in the following: Baking and Culinary, and Spanish lessons. If you are interested, please call or email us.
Princess Dance Camp

Calling all Princesses!!! Come join SKIES Unlimited For a week of dress up, games, craft, dances and fun! Find your inner princess.
Dance Classes at JBLE-Eustis Youth Center
- Baby Ballet
- Mini Jazz
Ballet– Classes will follow the same structure as a “regular ballet” class. This Ballet class will focus heavily on proper ballet technique.
Attire: Tights/leotard/ballet shoes and Hair in bun.
Lyrical – This expressive and fluid dance style combines elements of both Ballet and Jazz. Emphasis is placed on expressing the lyrics and emotions of a song. It is highly recommended you take ballet at the same time.
Attire: Hair in bun or pulled back out of face, leotard, convertible or footless tights, nude foot undeez.
Jazz – Classes will include warm ups focusing on technique, followed by across the floor skills.
Attire: Hair in bun or pony tail, leotard, tights, dance pants or shorts, jazz shoes
Attire: Hair in pony tail, stretchy street clothes or workout clothes, (NO JEANS), hip hop sneakers
Tap – Classes teach students to use their feet as a rhythmical instrument. Syncopation, musicality, and a variety of step styles are taught.
Attire: Hair in bun or pony tail, Tights, dance shorts are permitted over leotard or dance pants, tap shoes (preferably buckle, not tie)

3-5 year olds
- Classes meet one day per week for four (4) 45-minute classes per session. Children work on flexibility through stretching and proper warm-up progressing to floor, bars, beam, vault, and trampoline to reinforce techniques
6+ year olds
- Classes meet one day per week for four (4) 60-minute classes per session. All students start in a Beginner class to develop their basic gymnastics skills and fundamentals. Students may be invited to an Intermediate or Advanced class by the instructor as their individual skills progress.

The piano instructional program is designed for children ages 5 years old and above. Classes meet one time per week for four (4) 30-minute classes per month/session.
Classes emphasize theory which will foster children being able to master music reading for all instruments.
A Holiday and annual recital is conducted near the end of the academic school year for all participants in the piano instructional program.

Youth Program – 1102 Pershing Ave
The art program enhances fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and social-emotional development skills, through a process-orientated art experience. The curriculum aids in the development of each child’s talents and abilities. Our instructor leads students through the process of creating art while providing instruction on tools, supplies and methods. In art class, children learn to have confidence in their own creativity and expression!!!

Scientists believe that learning a language enhances children’s cognitive development. Children who learn a new language are likely to develop better critical skills. Help develop flexible and creative minds. Learning a new language have a positive impact on children performance in all subjects at school. Enhanced overall intellectual growth. Studying other languages have a positive effect on mental development. Studying other languages at a young age can improve math and critical thinking skills. As well as strengthen the use or understanding of a child native language. Exposure to other cultures.
